I’ve been given the opportunity to take on two adventures of a lifetime back-to-back this June totaling 102-ish miles! First, the 26.2 San Diego Coastal Trek. Then, the 76-ish miles of Kayaking / Cycling / Trekking as a Tri-athena-lon, also on the San Diego Coast. All to support Survivors in making their epic comeback stories.

Project Athena is an incredible nonprofit that helps survivors of medical or traumatic setbacks live out an adventurous dream as part of their recovery. Each Athena and Zeus (survivors) is gifted a fully funded, multi-day expedition through the financial support of Gods and Goddess (fundraisers).

I love supporting others in their comebacks. The last two years I’ve been in full Goddess mode for the Florida Keys 120-mile adventures, and I’m carrying that same energy into these additional Project Athena events this year. I’ve committed to raising $4,850 by early June. Your donation will help cover the cost of the adventure for survivors and allow Project Athena to continue making these powerful experiences possible.

Each step, each paddle, each peddle, this is my gift to myself and others. I continue to embark on these journeys with Project Athena knowing it makes a difference inside me, and ultimately in the peers I support, and am supported by.
