I’ve been given the opportunity to take on the adventure of a lifetime: tackling 76-ish miles of Kayaking / Cycling / Trekking on the San Diego Coast. All to support Survivors in making their epic comeback stories.

As you may have heard me say since I received one of their grants myself in 2023, Project Athena is an incredible nonprofit that helps survivors of medical or traumatic setbacks live out an adventurous dream as part of their recovery. Each Athena and Zeus (survivors) is gifted a fully funded, multi-day expedition through the financial support of Gods and Goddess (fundraisers).

Like the last two years, I love being a Goddess now so I can support others on their comebacks. I’ve committed to raising $4,850 to support this journey in June. Your donation will help cover the cost of the adventure for survivors and allow Project Athena to continue making these powerful experiences possible.

Each step, each paddle, each peddle, this is my gift to my past and future selves. This is where I feel the best and most alive in life. So I continue to embark on these journeys with Project Athena knowing it makes a difference inside me, and ultimately in the peers I support, and am supported by.
