I’m birding for a better world! Can you cheer me on?

I'm excited to be a part of Feminist Bird Club's Birdathon for Mutual Aid Disaster Relief! Our birding community is coming together to celebrate the inclusive nature of bird joy while fundraising for Mutual Aid Disaster Relief; a grassroots disaster relief network based on the principles of solidarity, mutual aid, and autonomous direct action.

Please help me reach my goal by leaving a flat donation or making a pledge to support my birding efforts! Your support will help provide critical funds for those who are affected by climate disasters all over the world.

Thank you for considering and stay tuned for my birding updates! 🐦

Day 3 update:

After inclement weather and other obligations prevented me from spending as much time birding as I'd have liked on the first two days, and due to mysteriously not having ANY waterfowl sightings yet, I decided to spend Sunday visiting a lake I'd never been to, although I had it on my list of places to check out, in nearby Armstrong County. Didn't end up adding a TON to my list, but it was a beautiful location and I'll definitely be back.

27. European Starling (corner of Old Haymaker and Northern Pike, Monroeville)

Crooked Creek Lake State Park:
28. Red-bellied Woodpecker
29. Killdeer
30. Great Blue Heron
31. Canada Goose
32. Belted Kingfisher
33. Northern Flicker
34. Merlin
35. Common Merganser

36. Rock Pigeon (at the North Vandergrift Bridge, Kiski River)

Evening walk through the woods near home:
37. Mallard
38. Carolina Chickadee

Back to work Monday -- so I'll do what I can afterwards, but it will take a miracle to hit that target of 50...

1. Northern Cardinal
2. American Robin
3. Song Sparrow
4. White-throated Sparrow
5. Eastern Bluebird
6. Carolina Wren
7. Chipping Sparrow
8. Blue Jay
9. Brown Creeper
