I've been a part of these epic adventures before, both as a friend, cheering on others, and also as the recipient of a grant, after my own cancer diagnosis. There is a magic that happens when we take on something hard after being knocked down by life. When we set our sights on conquering a big challenge, where we prove to ourselves that we can indeed do hard things.

I am excited to once again, join my fellow gods and goddesses and tackle 26-ish miles of the San Diego Coast in one day. And support the Survivors that will be in this group in making their Epic comeback stories.

Project Athena is an incredible nonprofit that helps survivors of medical or traumatic setbacks live out an adventurous dream as part of their recovery. Each Athena and Zeus (survivors) is gifted a fully funded, multi-day expedition through the financial support of Gods and Goddess (fundraisers like me!).
