DSANV offers year-round educational programs, health and wellness opportunities, family support groups, and life skills training for all ages. Our signature events, including the DSANV Buddy Walk®, World Down Syndrome Day celebration, and Spring Picnic, bring people together and build community awareness and acceptance.

Since 1972, the Down Syndrome Association of Northern Virginia (DSANV) has walked alongside individuals with Down syndrome and their families to empower their potential and create a welcoming, inclusive community for all. What began as a small group of dedicated parents has grown into a trusted nonprofit serving more than 5,000 members across Northern Virginia.
As a nonprofit organization, DSANV relies on the generosity of local businesses, churches, and individuals who believe in a more inclusive world. Your support makes it possible for us to provide scholarships, host free community events, and expand programs that empower every individual we serve.
