Let's Make Movement A Human Right!

Join the 28x28 Mobility Challenge and move for change this July 1st - 28th during Disability Pride Month to help support So Every BODY Can Move! Get active for 28 minutes a day for 28 days and let's see how far we can go in the month of July. In addition to tracking your miles (via Strava!), you'll help us fundraise, all while winning some incredible prizes from our brand partners, with the goal to raise $50,000 to support our advocacy efforts. Your energy will fuel our legislative work to create equitable and life-changing access to prosthetic and orthotic care for physical activity in 28 states by the 2028 Paralympics so we can then pursue federal, nationwide reform. Together, we can make movement a human right.

  • Overall Top Fundraiser(s) - Top 15 fundraisers overall (who raise $750 or more) will receive an On running kit including shoes, top, & bottom (value: $500).

  • How do I register?

It's super easy and free to join! Sign up by clicking "Join" at the top of this page. You can start a team, join a team, or register as an individual.

  • How should I set my personal activity goal?

The overall goal of the challenge is to get everyone active for at least 28 minutes per day for 28 days, all while tracking our miles, to see just how far we'll go in the month of July! With that in mind, create your own personal miles goal and fundraising goal. For example, set a goal to walk 28 miles and raise $280 for So Every BODY Can Move! Remember for non-distance based activities (like weightlifting or Pilates) use the conversion 10 min = 1 mile.

  • What kinds of activities count towards the challenge?

Any and all forms of movement count! Whether you want to walk, run, climb, surf, bike, swim, rollerblade, weightlift, dance, play, do yoga or Pilates, or push yourself to try a new activity, all you need to do is get active and log your activity via Strava or manually! Remember for non-distance based activities (like dancing or yoga) use the conversion 10 min = 1 mile.

  • How do I track/log my miles?

You can enter your miles manually through your profile to track your total. You can also edit your fundraising page to display and update your progress. If you would like to use your fitness tracker to automatically display updates, you can use Strava to connect with your fitness tracker, then add the Strava Widget to your fundraising page. Remember for non-distance based activities (like dancing or yoga) use the conversion 10 min = 1 mile.

  • How do I raise money for So Every BODY Can Move?

We suggest setting a minimum fundraising goal of $280. As an idea, share your campaign link with your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, social media, and ask them to donate $1/day for your 28 days of activity! Get 10 of your friends to sponsor you and you'll reach your $280 goal.

  • What is 'So Every BODY Can Move' that the 28x28 Mobility Challenge event is supporting?

So Every BODY Can Move is a state-by-state policy and advocacy initiative working to create access to prosthetic and orthotic care for physical activity, currently deemed “not medically necessary” and not covered by insurance. So Every BODY Can Move’s goal is to enact legislation in 28 states by the 2028 Los Angeles Paralympics so we can then pursue federal, nationwide reform. Learn more at SoEveryBODYCanMove.org

  • Where do donations go and what do they support?

Our goal is to raise $50,000 this July as part of the 28×28 Mobility Challenge! Donations go to the AOPA Foundation, a 501c3 with EIN: 80-0381934, which serves as the fiscal sponsor of the So Every BODY Can Move initiative. Your donations will support our ability to empower advocates with the tools and resources they need to champion this mission in their state.
