Scholarship Purpose
The 5 Strong Scholarship Foundation, Inc. Partners with Historically Black Colleges and Universities to provide full tuition scholarships and ongoing support to promising student leaders from “Matriculation to Graduation.”

*Please, Please, Please review these requirements before applying. Applicants who do not meet these requirements will not be considered. *Please wait until you have the required minimum GPA and test score before you apply. Otherwise your application will be deleted.
To be eligible for the 5 Strong Scholarship, all applications must:
Reside in the Atlanta, GA metropolitan area (Fulton County and all surrounding counties)
Be a current-year graduating high school senior
Demonstrate the potential to be a leader in the classroom and on campus
Have earned a GPA of at least 3.0 (Some HBCU Partners have higher GPA Requirements)
Have a minimum ACT score of 19 or a combined SAT score of 990 for both Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and Math sections (Some HBCU Partners have higher test score requirements)
Commit to 5 Strong and the selected HBCU that you will be attending.
Be available to attend all mandatory bimonthly College Ready Prep Sessions in person in Atlanta and your college visit.
*Texas Southern and Huston-Tillotson Universities are only a choice for Houston, Texas Applicants
***Fort Valley State University, Albany State University and Savannah State University applicants must:
Meet the Georgia HOPE Scholarship Requirements ( go to gafutures.org or ask your school counselor to confirm). Applicants interested in being Fort Valley, Albany, and Savannah State University Scholars will receive full tuition from the HOPE Scholarship and receive college prep services and ongoing mentorship and support (for 4 years) from the 5 Strong Scholarship Foundation. This is a great opportunity for 1st Gen College Students and students that want and need a strong support system while in college. All 5 Strong Scholars are responsible for Room, Board and Fees.
You must have at least a HOPE 3.0 GPA for Fort Valley State, Albany State and Savannah State U:

Alabama A&M - 3.0 /19 ACT/990 SAT
Alabama State U - 3.0/20 ACT/1100 SAT
Benedict College - 3.4 GPA
Bennett College - 3.0 GPA
Langston University - 3.0/19 ACT
Lincoln University - 3.3 GPA
Stillman College - 3.0 GPA
Voorhees University - 2.8 GPA
Wilberforce University - 3.25 ($10,000), 3.5 ($12,000)
