This is my third year doing the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. I don’t do it for time. I do it to remember.

I was 25, sleeping on my sister’s couch in North Carolina when I saw the second plane hit. I watched both towers fall on her birthday. And I’ve never forgotten that feeling.

I climb for the first responders who ran into chaos when everyone else ran out. I climb to honor them and the weight they carried.

It’s not a race. It’s a moment of reflection, grit, and gratitude.
Every step means something.
