Our Mission
It is the mission of the Alaska Chapter National Down Syndrome Network to provide education and information for members, new parents, and the community as a whole, to give parent-to-parent support to families of children with Down Syndrome, to gather socially and share experiences, and to be an advocacy group for individuals with Down Syndrome.
Every year, we gather and celebrate our community at our Alaska Walk for Down Syndrome, one of our largest fundraisers. Please join us by signing up to attend or by leaving a donation help us reach our goal and help fund our organization's critical programs.
Event Details!
Join us at Iditapark in Wasilla. The event will take place at the east end of the park, near the fire department . There is plenty of parking around the park, be on the lookout for signs to help guide you to the event location.
This year the AKDSN has partnered Cook Inlet Charters to award the individual with Down syndrome who raises the most money with (4) tickets for a halibut charter May 5-June 10, 2027.
