Your participation in this year's Hike Challenge helps us spread an awareness and appreciation of all wildlife species and habitats. This appreciation leads to making choices in our daily lives which support a healthy and sustainable Earth. Sharing your experiences, raising pledges, and enjoying all nature has to offer help us to fulfill our mission at CEC and to create an amazing place for all life to exist.
I'd Rather Be Hiking! Hike Challenge
Cope Environmental Center (CEC) was founded in 1992 by avid nature lovers, Jim & Helen Cope. They were very connected to the natural world and inspired many to develop their own connections to nature. Hiking was an important component to their lifestyle.
In celebration of our 30th Anniversary we are issuing a Hike Challenge! 30 Hikes for 30 years!
Hikers are encouraged to observe the natural world as they are hiking. Take pictures, learn new facts, and share your adventures by using #30CopeHikes
Challenge Details:
1. Register as a participant!
2. Set a goal! (hint 30 Hikes would be a great goal)
3. Get Outside! Hikes can be completed anywhere in nature.
4. Hikes need to be at least 1 mile long.
5. Log your Hikes as you go or at the end of the challenge.
6. Share and invite others to take the challenge.
7. Post your success and pictures to social media.
All participants registered by August 30th will receive a virtual swag bag!
If you would like to take this challenge to the next level please use your personal page to fundraise on the behalf of Cope Environmental Center! This platform will allow others to make donations to your page in support of your hike challenge! It is simple- give your personal page link to your friends and family. They will be able to make a one time donation or pledge per hike! All money raised will go towards trail maintenance and programs at CEC!
CEC Trails are open dawn to dusk 7 days a week!
