"The Ride", our annual pilgrimage for the kids. 4 100+ mile days and one shorter day with a few climbs that push us towards submission.  The ride is set to somewhat mimic the trials and tribulations of a child and family going through a cancer journey.  Long, painful and ups and downs.   My daughter, Madi, is a cancer survivor—and she is the reason I ride.  Along with names like Megan, Ava, Liv, Olivia, Blake, Shane, Cal, Tyler, Katie, Riley, Ben and Faith to name a few of the beautiful souls taken from us.  My commitment to this mission extends beyond the bike, and I’m proud to serve as Board Chairman of Cal’s Angels.

I have ridden every mile of all our War on Wheels and now CUREage events, and I’m honored to return for our eighth ride. Each mile honors every child and family affected by cancer and brings us closer to better treatments and cures.  

Cutting-edge researchers are ready to put the dollars raised to work helping kids. Through our incredible relationships with Lurie Children’s, the Big Ten Cancer Research Consortium, and other leading organizations, the money we raise will help drive the next lifesaving breakthrough for someone you might know and children around the world that are suffering currently or will be diagnosed in the future.
