The Challenge
The Chicago Lights Associates Board challenges you to run, walk and jog a “marathon” throughout the month of May – and no, you do not have to run 26.2 miles straight! This event provides an opportunity for anyone interested to support Chicago Lights by voluntarily walking, running, or biking (Peloton & Treadmill included!) any distance they choose between May 1st - May 31st as their own personal “marathon.” All proceeds benefit Chicago Lights programs including Tutoring, Summer Day, Urban Farm, Dance Academy and self-development through adult supportive services.
Our Impact: Helping thousands of students and adults realize their full potential
$1,000 = Security deposit and housing fees for a Social Service Center guest
$500 = CSA salad share Urban Farm membership for one family with a low income
$200 = 50 hygiene kits with soap, toothpaste, and deodorant for Social Service Center guests
$100 = Backpack with supplies, snacks, and books for one Tutoring student
$50 = Virtual dance classes and shoes for two Dance Academy students
$25 = Educational books for one Tutoring student
