The Dedra Ragland Monagan Memorial Scholarship

I created this scholarship to honor my dear sister and biggest cheerleader, Dedra Ragland Monagan. Unfortunately, Dedra (affectionately known as Dee Dee or Diva Dee) passed away several years ago after a battle with breast cancer.

Dedra was a strong, resilient, and unwavering woman who dedicated herself to raising Breast Cancer Awareness and supporting other women facing the disease. She was also a dedicated fan, supporter, and volunteer for the 5 Strong Scholarship Foundation.

The Dedra Ragland Monagan Memorial Scholarship will continue her legacy by awarding a scholarship to two senior female 5 Strong Scholars. These recipients will be selected based on the same perseverance and determination Dedra embodied as they work steadfastly toward completing their college degrees in four years or less.
