About "Get in the Game" Conference
Hosted by SBRnet and First and Pen, "Get in the Game" takes place at the Sheraton Inner Harbor in Baltimore between October 6th-8th. “Get in the Game" is a conference and career fair that we are developing for students of color and from HBCUs. The event will be a combination of educational sessions, networking opportunities, and hands-on learning experiences for these students.
Over three days, we will educate students about the sports business world and help them build connections with companies, individuals, and other students. We have planned outings with ASICS and Dicks so attendees can get a behind-the-scenes look at the business of sports and the opportunities it potentially holds for them.
This campaign is designed to fund student scholarships to remove financial barriers to entry.
Our current committed entities list includes: Dicks Sporting Goods, Under Armour, ASICS, the Baltimore Ravens, the MLBPA, the Ad Council, On Running, Clarks, the Detroit Tigers, the Detroit Redwings, the American Junior Golf Association, and Ohio University's Sports Administration Masters Program.
"Get in the Game" will present a full slate of potential opportunities to student attendees, including major leagues, brands, retailers, teams, and agencies.
