Our Mission, Vision, Why
MISSION: Wilson Rides helps to preserve the quality of life and foster a connected community for older adults residing in Wilson County by providing safe, affordable transportation to local destinations.
VISION: All older adults in Wilson County have access to affordable and assisted transportation options that appropriately support their mobility needs.
WHY: As a young non-profit established in April 2020 and having started providing rides in May 2021, we are proud to currently serve over 125 older adults in Wilson County and continue to grow. We are raising funds to ensure the sustainability and continued operations of this much-needed transportation service in Wilson County, TN.

About Us
Wilson Rides Inc is a local 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to providing reliable and accessible transportation services for older adults in Wilson County. Recognizing the importance of mobility for maintaining independence and quality of life, Wilson Rides ensures that its clients can attend medical appointments, run errands, and participate in social activities.
To achieve this, Wilson Rides relies on a network of volunteer drivers who offer their time and vehicles to support the community.
Additionally, Wilson Rides engages in various community-oriented initiatives. It collaborates with local entities like the Governor's Three Star Program and the Tennessee Arts Commission on projects such as the "StoryTime with Wilson Rides" podcast. This living history project captures the stories of older adults, aiming to preserve and share their experiences.
Wilson Rides also works closely with the Wilson County Mayor's Office to help certify Wilson County as an Age Friendly Community in line with AARP guidelines. Beyond transportation, Wilson Rides sends cards and organizes luncheons, adopting a holistic approach to prevent isolation and create a family atmosphere for those without one. Through these efforts, Wilson Rides not only provides essential transportation but also enriches the community, highlighting the importance of older adults' contributions to society.
