The Goat Hill Hike 2024

One day on foot | 108 holes for a cause

$38,440Raised of $150,000

Goat Hill Hike 2024 for Education and Training Clubhouse for the NCJGA a 501 (c) 3 non profit organization

Why are we playing/walking 108 holes at Goat Hill Park in one day on Monday June 24th?

To Create Game Changing opportunities for kids in our County….The North County Junior Golf Association and the Goat Hill Park Caddie Academy working together create an enormous positive impact on the youth of the County that will have a ripple effect on future generations. Each year over 500 kids of all ages take advantage of the NCJGA programs, clinics and tournaments each year.

The Goat Hill Park Caddie Academy is a member of the Western Golf Association and the Evans Scholars Foundation. More importantly this past year twin sisters Annabelle and Ada Lee who’ve caddie at the Goat since they were 13 years old and both also carried over a 4.0 High School GPA were awarded the Evans Scholarship, a full housing and tuition college scholarship to the University of Washington where they will start this fall.

Talk about GAME CHANGER!!…I’m sure the Lee twins will be paying their goodwill forward and making the world a better place.

We’ve made great strides but feel we can do even better work with the kids if we had a 4,000 square foot building at Goat Hill Park as a permanent education and training facility for the Goat Hill Park Caddie Academy and the NCJGA a 501c3 non profit organization.

Xander Schauffele is a great supporter of NCJGA and he kick started our fund raising effort with a $150K donation! We’ve since raised another $150K which is great but based on estimates we are still shy about $300K to complete the project. This years 108 Hole Hike will be solely dedicated to raising money for the NCJGA building by all the participants.

The prospect of the positive work that will come from completing this project provides the motivation to keep doing the 108 hole hike year after year. This is an important year for the NCJGA and your involvement is more critical than ever.

I hope you'll consider supporting our mission and my 108 Hole Hike on June 24, 2024. There are a few different ways to get involved:

Make a lump sum gift to commemorate this effort for a good cause

Pledge a dollar amount on a "per hole completed basis"

Make "bonus" pledges for birdies/eagles/holes-in-one (last year I had 13 birdies and no eagle or hole-in-one) or even a bonus if I beat my buddy Al Geiberger Jr in our 108 hole match. This is our 3rd edition and rubber match. I won two years ago 2&1, on the 107th hole and believe it or not he won last year 3&1 again on the 107th hole.

Thank you for your support and generosity!

John

The Goat Hill Hike Impact

NCJGA "It's ALL About the Kids" keeps golf fun and affordable for families for all camps, clinics, and tournaments. We continue to offer no fees to Juniors on the Playground, a donation-based Get Into Golf clinic, summer camps, and the Caddie and Leadership Academy. As well as funding the future Junior Golf Clubhouse.

Each year we find both the kids as well as the community very interested in being a part of the Caddie & Leadership program. The increase in caddies went from 21 to 25 caddies. We are excited to share that two of our caddies have received The Evan's Scholarship Award and will be attending the University of Washington!

Thank you in advance for your continued support of The Goat Hill 108 Hole Hike!
