Our Mission
WORK helps people in the poorest communities in the world lift themselves—and their families—out of poverty for good. We do whatever it takes to ensure the people we serve are healthy, housed, in school, and ultimately working in dignified, sustainable jobs.
Since 2010, when we started in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, we’ve served several thousand people in landfill and landfill-adjacent communities across 11 countries—helping individuals secure 9–5 jobs, strengthen already-functioning businesses in industries like waste collection, and launch new businesses of their own. We believe in a world where poverty doesn’t exist.
We also believe that giving should be a JOY.
Thank you to all of our athletes and donors who supported our inaugural HYROX Las Vegas, that took place on February 20–22, 2026. HYROX combines running with functional workout stations: participants run 1 km, followed by one incredibly challenging workout, repeated eight times. It was sweaty, painful, not for the faint of heart—and a TON of fun.

Your Impact
We'll keep this simple—your money goes directly to the folks we serve, and we treat them the way we treat our own families.
We keep a small staff in the U.S. so that we can push our resources into teams and programming on the ground in the 11 communities we serve globally.
Once a family we serve is under roof, healthy, and in school, our goal is to help the men and women in our programs earn a living income so that they don't need us anymore.
Your money might be an investment in a woman starting a small grocery in a food desert.
It may help a man who saves plastic bottles from a landfill buy a machine that lets him compress his plastic and take more material to market.
Or it might provide the money for a medical procedure for that woman or man's child to be able to stay in school.
Either way, we do what it takes, and we finish the job.

Limited access to medical care often prevents adults from taking the first steps toward life-changing jobs. By providing essential healthcare and follow-up treatment, we help families stay healthy, remove critical barriers to work, and begin their journey toward long-term stability and financial independence.
