Rebuilding Hope Through Golf: Support First Tee of Greater Pasadena
On the evening of January 7th, a wind-driven fire ignited in Eaton Canyon, near Altadena, CA. Over the next 24 days, the fire ravaged the region, claiming 17 lives and destroying more than 9,000 buildings. Among those affected was First Tee of Greater Pasadena, which suffered devastating losses at its partner facilities, Altadena Golf Course and Eaton Canyon Golf Course.
The fire consumed multiple outbuildings and equipment containers, destroying clubs and gear that so many young participants relied on. For years, First Tee has been more than just golf—it has been a home where kids develop confidence, perseverance, and respect. Now, their program is facing a tough recovery, and they need our support.
How Your Support Makes a Difference
This event is more than just a game — it’s a chance to restore what was lost and bring hope to young golfers affected by the fires. Every dollar raised will go directly to:
🏌️♂️ Replacing lost equipment so every child can continue playing and learning
🏌️♀️ Rebuilding program facilities to restore safe spaces for mentorship and training
We know we can’t replace everything that was lost, but through this event, we hope to help our fellow participants rebuild and recover.
Youth Participation & Volunteer Hours
First Tee will recognize any youth participation in the event with volunteer service hours. This is a great opportunity for young golfers to give back to their community while enjoying the game they love.
