K4L has been close to my heart for many a year, the work Pete and his team do goes far beyond the ball. They are changing lives. It’s 9 years now that I’ve served on the Board for K4L and it’s truly an honor to run for them.

It's been a while since I rattled the tin for some challenge to raise money for charity. 50lbs ago it was the world championship of Ironman. I’m a bit more middle aged and sensible now so it's the NYC Marathon, a 26.2 mile block party.

This year I was inspired to run the NYC Marathon for those that can't. My Dad, Papa G, the Rev, Inspector Dadget, has always been my hero. Up until a few years ago he was still running half marathons until mysterious pins and needles started slowly taking away his ability to walk. While pushing him around the cobbled streets of Spain, a plan was hatched to make a difference. So let’s run NYC!

We have hope, and pray that his undiagnosable neuron disease will reverse. We are grateful everyday for Dad and his shanter.
