Pat Cade

As a six-time finisher of the Leadville Trail 100 Run and 2025 4th- place overall finisher, Pat is no stranger to digging deep. But this year, he’s running for something bigger than a finish time.

Pat has spent the last 10 years living in Leadville, and as a track & field coach and teacher at Lake County High School, he's seen firsthand how much the Leadville Trail 100 Legacy Foundation scholarships impact local students and their futures. That’s what inspired him to step into the DreamChaser role.

“The kids mean a lot to me because they are the future of our community.”

On race day, Pat will not only start in last place, but he’ll also begin the race 2.5 hours behind the rest of the field, chasing down runners across 100 miles of Leadville’s toughest terrain. Supporters can pledge a dollar amount per runner passed or make a flat donation to support his effort and the future of Lake County students.

Every dollar raised helps open doors for local kids through scholarships, grants, and community support programs.
