Hi Everyone!

I know this might be shocking, so you might want to sit down. I AM RUNNING THE NYC MARATHON!! Can you actually do this Michelle!? (not sure!) Will you be the last to cross the finish line? (possibly!) Why now? Well, that's all thanks to The Mark Schonwetter Holocaust Foundation.

I am reaching out to YOU, my family and friends, to ask for your support in helping this amazing foundation I learned about earlier this year. This MSHE Foundation gives grants to schools for holocaust education, ensuring that future generations understand the significance of remembering the Holocaust, promoting tolerance, and combating hatred. Now more than ever, the lessons of the Holocaust must be passed on.

Although I’ve never been a runner (or let's be real, exercised), I’m training for the NYC marathon because this cause is so deeply personal to me. I am the PROUD granddaughter of four Holocaust survivors, and their stories of survival, resilience, and hope continue to inspire me as I raise my own children and teach NYC's students.
