My Mission
I'm excited to be able to run the Lake Tahoe Midnight Express 72 mile ultra marathon in support of the work Nation's Finest does for unhoused veterans in our communities. I have been working with Nation's Finest for about 2 years now, first as a Veteran Peer Support Specialist for the suicide prevention program, and now as an Outreach Specialist for the Supportive Services for Veterans and their Families (SSVF) program.
As a Navy and Coast Guard veteran, this line of work provides a great sense of meaning and purpose. As a supporter you have the option to make a flat donation or roll the dice on a per-mile donation. Thank you for donating and for spreading the word of who we are and what we do. Be the one to let veterans know about the services available if they should need a hand up. Thank you.

Phew...what a night! Well, we got 35 miles around Lake Tahoe, some sore muscles, and a very unique experience. I have one more update coming.
The picture below show what I saw from 9pm until 7am sunrise, little to no shoulder on the road and oncoming headlights.
The smartest thing I did was take the Monday after the race off!
