The month of May was an exciting one! I was able to bird from the car in some beautiful places as well as take short walks to see and hear migrating birds. I heard my favorite warbler, the blackburnian and saw my favorite hawk, the red-tailed. The best part was being able, once again, to go birding with my “birding buddy” Aaron! Thank you all for your generous donations to Migration Magic in an effort to save migrating birds in our beautiful state. Happy birding!

Just this morning I’ve seen or heard so many more birds. I got a scarlet tanager in my yard for the first time! And I saw the resident red shouldered hawk again 🥰 Enjoy your day!

It’s only May 7th and I’ve heard or seen 43 birds already! It’s a beautiful month for birding 🤩. I’ve exceeded my goal of 32 birds (and now set a new one of 50 birds 👍) which means that our efforts for conservation for our migratory birds in CT is working! We are helping birds to thrive. However there is still more work to do. Many bird species are in decline. Please consider donating on my page while I continue to bird for the rest of the month. Thank you for your support. 🙏
