Riding with Purpose — For INAD Gene Therapy (Donations Matched up to $5,000!)
The INADcure Foundation is excited to be riding as part of Team NBIA Disorders in the 2025 Million Dollar Bike Ride! Thanks to a generous matching grant from the NBIA Disorders Association, every donation will be matched up to $5,000 — doubling the impact to help advance our gene therapy program toward a clinical trial.
What is NBIA?
Neurodegeneration with Brain Iron Accumulation (NBIA) is a family of rare, inherited disorders where excess iron in the brain gradually damages the nervous system.
About INAD
Infantile Neuroaxonal Dystrophy (INAD) is one of these disorders. Often likened to pediatric ALS or Parkinson’s, INAD robs children of their motor and cognitive skills, stealing first steps, first words, and, tragically, most lives before age ten.
Why Your Support Matters
There are no FDA-approved treatments to stop or slow INAD’s progression, but there is hope. Scientists are now developing a gene therapy, with promising preclinical results, that aims to replace the faulty gene and halt the disease in its tracks.
How Your Donation Helps
All donations on this page will be matched by the NBIA Disorders Association up to $5,000 and will support our gene therapy initiative for INAD.
Thanks for helping us pedal closer to a cure! 🚴♀️ 🧬
