Riding for Research. Pedaling for Progress. Creating a Brighter Future for HI Families
Team CHIbra is proud to ride in the Million Dollar Bike Ride for our 13th year, raising critical funds for hyperinsulinism (HI) research. The MDBR, hosted by the Penn Medicine Orphan Disease Center, brings rare disease communities together to directly support scientific discovery.
For families living with HI, research isn’t abstract — it’s the path to safer treatments, better outcomes, and hope for the future. Every mile we ride and every dollar we raise fuels the scientists working to understand HI and develop new therapies.
Your support helps push this work forward. Thank you for standing with the HI community and with us.

I'm a pediatric radiologist dedicated to improve molecular imaging tests such as 18F-FDOPA PET scan used to diagnose a focal lesion of hyperinsulinism. Detection and resection of a focal lesion can lead to a cure of congenital hyperinsulinism.
