Golf course employees are the foundation of New York's golf industry. Many are high school or college students, working in golf to save money for the ever increasing college costs. You'll find them serving food, mowing greens, cleaning clubs, working cash registers... they do everything!

"As a college student who runs track and balances classes and homework, having and maintaining a job has been extremely difficult. This scholarship has benefited me in many ways to the point where college has become less stressful for me. Paying for books, tuition, and providing for myself are all things this scholarship has helped provide for me. The money has helped me buy the physical textbooks that are required in order to complete the course work. Along with the physical textbooks, there have been certain classes that have required access codes and the money has helped me gain those codes. The scholarship money has helped with not only the textbook aspect, but also with the tuition and the continuation of my college career at SUNY Cortland for my junior year. I am thankful for the opportunities this scholarship has given me, it has helped better my college experience, and contributed greatly to my future."
