Running has become one of my greatest passions over the years. It constantly challenges me to grow, improve, and push beyond what I once thought possible. I’m incredibly fortunate to have a coach, Mark Guyer, who shares that same drive and passion - not only for his own goals, but for mine as well. Mark is more than just a coach; he’s also a friend.

In October of last year, Mark’s father was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. After a courageous battle, he passed away this past April. As I began planning for the Philadelphia Marathon this year, I knew I wanted my miles to serve a greater purpose. The choice of charity was immediate and deeply personal.

I am running for Project Purple because I want to join their mission to raise awareness, fund vital research, and support patients and families affected by pancreatic cancer. Through this marathon, I hope to honor Mark’s father and contribute in a small way to the fight against this devastating disease.
