A Virtual Run, Walk, Swim or Bike to Provide Shoes to Kids in Need

$316,885Raised of $350,000

You Can be a Champion for Children Experiencing Homelessness

Join us for this year's Race4EveryKid from May 1 - 31. Whether you decide to walk, run, cycle, swim or hop, skip and jump, every dollar you raise will provide joy and dignity to kids across the US. No child should have to feel embarrassed, discouraged, or left out simply because they lack something most of us take for granted.

In Honor of Robert Adams-Ghee

This year's Race4EveryKid is in honor of Robert Adams-Ghee, Soles4Souls CFO, advocate of the 4EveryKid program, and enthusiastic Race4EveryKid participant. Sadly, Robert passed away in March. Robert was a passionate supporter of the 4EveryKid program because he understood the need first-hand.

"I recall growing up when I was more concerned with hiding the holes in my shoes than on learning. Twice in my childhood, we were all crowded into homes of relatives and sleeping on chairs and sofas while trying to attend school. If someone had given me a new pair of shoes during those times, I would have felt like a king! Through the work of Soles4Souls, I can now help to give a child experiencing homelessness that new pair of shoes and perhaps help them feel like a King!"

Child homelessness is at a crisis level in the U.S. While many organizations provide shelter and food to kids without adequate housing, one need often goes unmet: shoes that fit right and feel good. At Soles4Souls, we believe this need must be met. That’s why we’re partnering with schools across the country to get new athletic shoes to every child experiencing homelessness.

This year, our goal is to raise at least $350,000, ensuring that 17,500 kids step into next school year with confidence.

How it Works

1. Create a team, join a team or register as an individual at the top of this page.

2. Set your fundraising goal. We recommend a minimum team goal of $10,000 to support 500 kids and a minimum individual goal of $1,000 to support 50 kids.

3. Set a mileage goal.

4. Donate to your campaign to get started! Then begin reaching out to friends and family to ask them to support you by making a pledge per mile or a flat donation.

5. Log your miles by entering them manually or connecting your Strava account.

Most importantly, have fun and know you are making a difference in the lives of students experiencing homelessness!
