Raising the B.A.R. Invitational: Fundraising for Change
At the Raising the B.A.R. Invitational (Basketball. Activism. Representation.), we are activating the “activism” pillar of the invitational with this campaign by fundraising for local charities in each of the participating schools cities.
How it works: For every point each team scores over the 2-day tournament, fans can pledge a monetary amount (10 cents per point, 25 cents per point, $1 per point, etc) or a flat donation.
All money raised will be divided equally among the four charities. Four teams from across the nation are competing in an exciting tournament while also working to raise funds and awareness for four incredible charities. This event combines the energy of the game with the spirit of giving, empowering athletes and supporters to make a difference both on and off the court.

Supporting Incredible Causes
Fundraising For Change isn’t just about basketball – it’s about making a difference. This year, we’re proud to support four inspiring organizations that are transforming lives and strengthening communities:
Cal's charity of choice: People's Programs - People’s Programs is a Black-led organization, founded by Black youth in 2017, dedicated to empowering the community of Oakland through grassroots community programs. Instead of relying on top-down solutions, we champion bottom-up approaches to address the core issues affecting our community. Our mission is clear: To serve the people, build autonomy, and directly impact Black lives.
Fordham's charity of choice: POTS (Part of the Solution) - Serving the Bronx with compassion, POTS provides critical services to address immediate needs like food insecurity and empowers individuals to achieve long-term stability and financial security.
Temple's charity of choice: Philadelphia Youth Sports Collaborative (PYSC) - PYSC is on a mission to ensure every child in Philadelphia has access to quality youth sports programs, uniting stakeholders, conducting vital research, and advocating for policies that break down barriers to participation.
Xavier's charity of choice: Cincinnati Stepping Stones - Dedicated to supporting individuals with special needs, Stepping Stones offers year-round programs that teach life skills, foster social connections, and empower children, teens, adults, and their families.
