Help Kids Ride Forward

For 15 years, onbikes has provided over 19,000 bikes and helmets to at-risk kids in the Tampa Bay community—helping them get to school, play with friends, explore their neighborhoods, and grow in confidence and independence.

How It Works — 3 Simple Steps

Step 1: Make Your Miles Matter
Commit to 15 miles this April. Bike, walk, run, or move your way—every mile brings a child closer to their very first bike. Feel free to go beyond 15!

Step 2: Fundraise
Invite 15 friends to donate $15 in honor of 15 years of onbikes. Every gift helps put a bike and helmet into a child’s hands—The more people you reach, the bigger the impact. Feel free to invite extra friends, family, or coworkers!

Step 3: Share & Celebrate
Track your miles and share your journey. Post on social media using #onbikes15for15 to inspire others and connect your story to the movement.

Why Our Miles Matter

Why Our Miles Matter

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, onbikes has spent 15 years providing bikes and helmets to at-risk children in Tampa Bay, helping them get to school, explore their neighborhoods, and gain confidence. Bikes don’t just get kids moving—they help them build independence, self-esteem, and joyful memories.

Burnett Middle School
At this Title I school, absenteeism is a challenge. To encourage regular attendance, we provided bikes and helmets to students with perfect attendance. One student from each grade—6th, 7th, and 8th—won a bike, helmet, and lights. These kids gained more than a bike—they gained independence, confidence, and joyful memories.

Our Broader Impact
onbikes partners with organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay, Frameworks of Tampa Bay, Life Academy, the Children’s Cancer Center, Foster Angels, and the Bullard Family Foundation. From youth experiencing homelessness to children in foster care or facing medical hardships, every bike helps a child move forward physically, emotionally, and academically.

Every mile you ride and every dollar you raise in the 15 for 15 Challenge helps kids like these get to school, play with friends, and ride forward with confidence and joy.
