June 1st through June 3rd 2026
Cycling from Oxford, Maine to Boxford, MA
A group of highly committed cyclists (and their supporters), will cycle approximately 150 miles from Oxford, ME to Boxford, MA in June of 2026 to raise awareness and funds for ALS Research and Patient Care. This ride has become an annual spin-off of the 2023 Oxford, Ohio to Boxford, MA - ALS Ride for Hope, a 1000-mile bike ride started by Dave Foster in honor of his Alpha Delta Phi fraternity brother, Doug McIlvaine. The 2023 ride brought together several fraternity brothers from Miami University in Oxford, OH in an effort to honor and reconnect with Doug who was diagnosed in 2019 with ALS and given 2-5 years to live. The experience was powerful and uplifting in so many ways and created a desire in those who participated to continue the efforts to fight ALS while creating lasting memories. It is only through increased awareness and funds that progress will be made to find answers to this devastating disease. The Oxford to Boxford, ALS Ride for Hope, now in its 3rd year is a small but mighty group of people – family, friends and supporters, who are committed to raising awareness and funds for ALS and to have fun while doing so!
