Meet Joshua
Meet Joshua, one of our Ride for a Child 2026 honored children! Joshua is ten years old and has one older sister Emma. Joshua’s family also has three cats–Jason, Jack, and Sidney! In his free time, Joshua likes to play games like Roblox, Fortnite, Teardown, and Minecraft on his Xbox. Besides gaming, he also likes to spend time playing outdoors and recording videos.
Joshua is a big Godzilla fan! His favorite Godzilla movie is Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire because of all the action and how cool Godzilla is. In his free time, Joshua likes to create his own creatures and Godzillas. He also enjoys the Transformers and Jurassic Park series. Right now, his favorite song is “Take On Me” by a-ha.
Joshua was diagnosed with a Wilms Tumor in 2017. So far, his favorite memory from Candlelighters is going to the pumpkin patch during one of our fall events!

About Candlelighters
From diagnosis through treatment and beyond, Candlelighters provide programs that meet the needs of the whole family facing childhood cancer. Your support provides:
$25: Fills the gas tank so families can get their child to the hospital for essential cancer treatment.
$50: Fills a grocery bag of a family who may have had to leave a job to care for their child
$100: Helps a family of four get essential food for several days or gas for several trips to the hospital for required treatments.
$250: Fills the hospital pantry for one week, while families are in the hospital with their child who is receiving cancer treatment.
