Meet Cohen
Meet Cohen, Ride for a Child’s youngest ever honored child! Cohen may only be one and a half years old, but he already has a big personality. He is a music fan and loves listening to Chappell Roan, Raffi, and Willie Nelson. His favorite book is Pout Pout Fish because his Mom and Dad have to give him kisses at the end!
In his free time, he loves playing with his dad’s glasses and going on in his walker to the park with his pet dog LV. If he was stranded on a deserted island, he would just take a piece of stale bread, but if he could only eat one meal for the rest of his life it would definitely be chocolate frosting!
Cohen was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, a rare type of childhood cancer that forms in bones and soft tissue. His absolute favorite Candlelighters experience so far has been our 2025 Winter Wonderland holiday party! He got to play with a magic wand and get sorted into his Hogwarts house, he could tell it made his nerdy parents very happy.

About Candlelighters
From diagnosis through treatment and beyond, Candlelighters provide programs that meet the needs of the whole family facing childhood cancer. Your support provides:
$25: Fills the gas tank so families can get their child to the hospital for essential cancer treatment.
$50: Fills a grocery bag of a family who may have had to leave a job to care for their child
$100: Helps a family of four get essential food for several days or gas for several trips to the hospital for required treatments.
$250: Fills the hospital pantry for one week, while families are in the hospital with their child who is receiving cancer treatment.
