Meet Zeke
Introducing Zeke–one of this year’s Ride for a Child Honored Children! Zeke is two and a half years old and has three other siblings, Ben, Amelia, and Zach. He loves spending time with his family outdoors. A book Zeke likes right now is We’re Going on a Bear Hunt.
Zeke loves anything fast, fierce, and loud! He likes cars, trains, planes, and trains. One of his hobbies is playing cars. He is also a fan of the Toy Story movies, his favorite character is Buzz-Light-year. If he could only eat one food for the rest of his life it would be ramen, ice cream, or butter! If he was stranded on a deserted island, the one thing he would bring would be his mom.
Zeke was diagnosed with Leukemia last year. Some of his favorite memories of Candlelighters are our weekly snack cart at the oncology unit at OHSU on Fridays!

About Candlelighters
From diagnosis through treatment and beyond, Candlelighters provide programs that meet the needs of the whole family facing childhood cancer. Your support provides:
$25: Fills the gas tank so families can get their child to the hospital for essential cancer treatment.
$50: Fills a grocery bag of a family who may have had to leave a job to care for their child
$100: Helps a family of four get essential food for several days or gas for several trips to the hospital for required treatments.
$250: Fills the hospital pantry for one week, while families are in the hospital with their child who is receiving cancer treatment.
