Celebrate World Down Syndrome Day

Calling all friends, family, and fun sock lovers! Purchase your socks or make a donation to help us celebrate World Down Syndrome Day!

What is World Down Syndrome Day?

World Down Syndrome Day is a global event to recognize and support individuals with Down syndrome. It’s a day we share information about the challenges facing people in the Down syndrome community, listen to their stories, and advocate for their right to be heard. Together, we get to celebrate just how much better the world is thanks to people who are extra wonderful thanks to an extra chromosome!

Why socks? 🧦

The brighter the socks, the better the talks!

Every year on March 21st, we bust out the most colorful, crazy, fun pair of (or mismatched) socks we own and strut our stuff!

This is a great way to raise awareness for Down syndrome because chromosomes look like a pair of brightly-colored socks under a microscope. When someone asks you why your feet look extra fantastic, you can share about what causes Down syndrome, the challenges facing people with Trisomy 21, and how we can all work together to make the world a more inclusive and welcoming place. The brighter, the better!
