Who We Are

The Down Syndrome Network of West Virginia (DSNWV) was established in 2002 by parents of children with Down syndrome looking for connection and support. The organization has grown to champion for families all across the state by way of New Parent Packets, Puberty Kits, and World Down Syndrome Day Classroom Kits. They host a monthly virtual educational session called Tuesday Talks to connect families with valuable resources. Additionally, they provide assistance to families in need and connect families to programs and agencies for support.

The DSNWV is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of 13 community members, many of whom are parents to a child with Down syndrome. They also employ a part-time Executive Director who serves to drive the mission and expand the programs of the DSNWV.

The mission of the Down Syndrome Network of West Virginia (DSNWV) is to enhance the lives of individuals with Down syndrome by providing information, resources, and support to families and professionals and by promoting awareness and acceptance of individuals with Down syndrome.
