About SEBCM:

So Every BODY Can Move (SEBCM) is a grassroots movement led by people with disabilities and allies to champion the transformative power of movement as medicine. Across the U.S., insurers typically cover only a basic, daily-use prosthesis, orthosis, or wheelchair—but deny coverage for anything beyond that, especially activity-specific devices and care required for physical activity, work, and daily living, like showering/bathing. These denials, often labeled “not medically necessary,” limit freedom, restrict full function, and undermine well-being.

We are tackling these unfair healthcare barriers by mobilizing grassroots advocates who are passionate about driving legislative change, state by state.

We’re building a future where access to movement isn’t a privilege, but a guaranteed part of healthcare.

We aim to guarantee fair access to the prosthetic and orthotic coverage people need to move, work, care for themselves, and live fully — raising the national standard of care across 28 states by the LA 2028 Paralympics (28x28) and building toward federal change.

About Donating to SEBCM:

100% of your donations fuel So Every BODY Can Move’s national healthcare and disability rights initiative. Your support powers legislative advocacy, community organizing, and lived-experience leadership nationwide.

While your contributions are made in support of So Every BODY Can Move, they are received by the Amputee Coalition (AC), our trusted fiscal sponsor.

This strategic partnership ensures that every dollar donated through this campaign is allocated directly to SEBCM’s mission, supported by the AC’s established administrative capabilities and nonprofit status.

The Amputee Coalition serves as the backbone organization for SEBCM, managing your donations as donor-designated funds. All contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law, as the Amputee Coalition is a 501(c)(3) national nonprofit organization, EIN: 52-1701146.
