Join us for the 2025 Buddy Walk® Terre Haute on Saturday, April 26, 2025!
Please join us for Buddy Walk® Terre Haute on April 26th, 2025 at Memorial Stadium! Registration opens at 9:00am with opening ceremonies beginning at 10:00am and the 1 mile walk starting around 10:21am.
Since 1995, the Buddy Walk® has been the premier advocacy event for Down syndrome in the United States. It is also the world’s most widely recognized public awareness program for the Down syndrome community. The Buddy Walk® attracts thousands of participants from coast to coast each year.
A day of inspiration and celebration, the walk brings together the Down syndrome community all while raising funds to support the mission of Down Syndrome Indiana. Down Syndrome Indiana is a one-stop-shop for information and resources on Down syndrome. The programs it offers are intended to promote the inclusion of individuals with Down syndrome in their greater community, as well as to offer support and information to families, caregivers, educators, employers and the professionals who serve individuals with Down syndrome.
Registering for the Buddy Walk® Terre Haute is as easy as 1-2-3
1. Sign Up
All participants attending the walk must be registered and accept the terms and conditions of the waiver. This helps our team get an accurate headcount for the event. Click on the Register Now button above to sign up yourself and any family or friends that will be joining you.
Each team member can decide if they wish to fundraise or not. While every little bit DSI receives goes toward amazing programs, we recognize for some that the fundraising element can be daunting. We want everyone to feel welcome to participate in spreading awareness by walking with their team!

2. Customize Your Online Fundraising Page
You'll be prompted to create a team page or join a team during registration, and can update your page at any time. We recommend that team captains customize their team's fundraising page by editing the message and adding a unique photo.
3. Spread the Word
Once your team is created, you can start sharing your team's page widely with your network. If you chose to create your own personal fundraising page as a team member, you will be able to send emails to your friends and family by clicking visiting the "Donors" tab on your menu. The emails will provide a direct link to your personal page where your friends and family can make a donation on your behalf. We've even written some sample emails to help get you started!
If you are unable to attend the Buddy Walk®, you can still register and join us virtually by helping fundraise! Or, you can simply make a charitable donation to help support the Down Syndrome Indiana by clicking on the Donate To This Event button at the top of the page.
