2024 Wichita County Buddy Walk

$3,504Raised of $75,000

Our Mission

The Buddy Walk® was established by NDSS in 1995 and has grown to be the world’s largest and most recognizable Down Syndrome awareness program, with hundreds of local Walks taking place across the US and select international countries. Each year hundreds of thousands of walkers collectively raise funds to support local programs and services as well as national initiatives.

The Wichita County Buddy Walk began in Wichita Falls in 2018 with a group of determined parents and has grown every year since. It is a completely volunteer run organization. In the last 6 years, the Buddy Walk has raised over $180,000 for The Arc of Wichita County and supported numerous other local nonprofit organizations that serve individuals with disabilities. The Arc of Wichita County offers a multitude of programs and services benefitting individuals with IDD of all ages. Help us raise funds to continue supporting such an important mission!
