Birds need our help! North America has lost over 3 billion birds since the 1970s, but we can help #BringBirdsBack. By donating to our team, you're supporting the Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin's Bird Protection Fund, which funds Wisconsin's highest priority bird conservation projects.

Your support would mean a lot to our team. Birds have made an incredible difference in our lives and we want to protect them. Every dollar counts when it comes to helping our birds, so no donation is too small. Thank you for considering!

Friends,
Thank you to everyone who participated and donated to the Millennial Falcons and the 2026 Great Wisconsin Birdathon!
Our team exceeded our goal just short of 150%, and the Birdathon as a whole exceeded its fundraising goal just short of 102%. That is a massive accomplishment not only for the Bird Protection Fund, but also for the many organizations invested in projects and initiatives into getting people outside, engaging with our feathered friends, and doing something to preserve the habitat and resources that we all call home.
Over the course of the Birdathon, 284 different species of birds were observed all over Wisconsin between April 15 - June 15. Our team enjoyed seeing the many goslings and ducklings tagging along with their parents, a softshell turtle basking in the sun, and the many summer resident birds showing off when we went out May 30th.
Because of your time, talents, resources, and engagement to do something, we had another rockin' year for the Falcons for the new and returning participants in Madison. Since joining this team years ago, I've always found each Birdathon refreshing with new surprises, adventures, and memories together even in places where I'd been a million times.
I thank God for the care and concern He has for this world and that He brings to light in all of you concerned about the future of the birds, our communities, and our planet. Thank you all again for soaring with the Millennial Falcons this year!

Your Donation Makes a Difference For Birds

Donations made to the Great Wisconsin Birdathon support the Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin’s Bird Protection Fund, which has given out over $1.4 million towards Wisconsin’s highest priority bird conservation projects since its inception in 2009.

Whether it's creating Piping Plover habitat, rearing Whooping Crane chicks, spreading awareness about declining songbirds, supporting community initiatives for bird-friendly neighborhoods, engaging new and underrepresented voices in the birding community, building impactful collaborations to protect Wisconsin's Important Bird Areas, or protecting our neotropical migrants on their long migratory journeys to Central America... the Bird Protection Fund is there to help.

Your donations make this work possible. Thank you for supporting on-the-ground conservation and being there #ForTheBirds!
