Walk for Water 2025

Empowering Kenyan women to catch the rain

$5Raised of $110,000

The Ripple Effect

Hours of walking. Dirty water. Stolen futures. This is the daily reality for women and girls in rural Kenya. They walk miles for water – water that is often dirty, salty, and riddled with disease. This stolen time means missed opportunities: daughters denied education, mothers unable to earn a living, families trapped in a cycle of poverty.

You can be the catalyst for change. By supporting our Walk for Water, you'll empower these women and girls to break free from this cycle. Rainwater catchment tanks provide access to life-changing clean water, unlocking opportunities. Women gain the freedom to work, girls reclaim their education, and families thrive.

Join the movement. Be a part of something bigger. Create or join a team, or fundraise as an individual. Rally your friends, family, and colleagues. On May 10th, gather in your neighborhood to walk in solidarity and witness the ripple effect of your generosity. Every step, every dollar, brings us closer to a future where clean water is a right, not a privilege.

Today we walk for water so that someday they won’t have to.

Across the Puget Sound region and around the nation, we will walk in support of our partners in Kenya who walk every day to collect water for their families.

Gather for community walks on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 10:00 AM PDT. You can walk for water with your team, wherever you are! Together we can surpass our goal and bring clean, life-changing water to women and their families.

Our Mission

For 25 years, Path From Poverty has been equipping and empowering women to lift themselves out of poverty. We partner with women's groups to provide business and leadership training and a path to accessing clean water and solar power.
