Westown’s Team Up to Clean Up

Help keep our neighborhood clean & green
We all do spring cleaning at home, so why not extend it to our downtown streets? Whether you live, work or play in Westown, it is all of our responsibility to keep the neighborhood looking its best. That’s why Westown Association is calling on community members to Team Up to Clean Up on Saturday, April 17.
Ahead of Earth day, we’re asking residents, employees and stakeholders to spend part of the day collecting litter throughout Westown in an effort to make our neighborhood shine. Additionally, this event will serve as a fundraiser for the organization, so volunteers are asked to seek pledges for their clean up efforts, with donations directly supporting Westown Association’s mission of creating a more vibrant downtown neighborhood.
Why Donate?
Donations will directly support our efforts to promote, program and enhance our neighborhood. Our organization produces community events such as Milwaukee’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade, the Westown Farmers’ Market and River Rhythms, all of which were canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. These events generate 50% of the organization’s revenue, and with the expected slow return of large public gatherings, we are in need of new ways to raise critical funds.
Your involvement not only helps the neighborhood look more beautiful, but will also help Westown Association continue its important mission.
Four lucky donors will receive a $50 gift card to a Westown business! To be entered in the drawing, share your name, email address and phone number when you make your donation. Winners will be randomly selected and contacted on April 21 by email.
