What's the Bay Birding Challenge?
On Saturday, April 27, teams will compete against each other on two fronts: 1) To see the most bird species in one day in the Bay Area. 2) To raise the most money through friends-and-family fundraising.

How It Works
The Bay Birding Challenge is a friendly birding competition held in the San Francisco Bay Area, with a mission to support and raise awareness of bird conservation. Whether you wish to compete on a team or support from the sidelines through per-species pledges and donations, it's easy to participate in this community event!
Think of the Challenge like a walkathon fundraiser, but instead of miles, teams will be tracking the number of birds species they observe and asking their friends and family to support their efforts.
It is completely free to participate in this event. All birding skill levels are welcome!
