2024 Buddy Walk

Join Manasota BUDS on Saturday, October 26th 2024 for its 22nd Annual Buddy Walk! The Buddy Walk is the area's largest Down syndrome awareness and celebration event of the year. Show your support to the local Down syndrome community by donating, joining a team, or sponsoring our event!

The Buddy Walk was established in 1995 by the National Down Syndrome Society. Each October, the Buddy Walk serves as the primary fundraiser and Down syndrome awareness event for Manasota BUDS. All donations received from this event help to support our programs, services and scholarships offered each year. Through generous donors and sponsors like you, we serve over 300 families across the Florida Gulf Coast.

Get Ready for the Buddy Walk in 3 Steps

1. Register Your Group!

Click on the "Register To Walk" button above to get started. Select the appropriate ticket for your group size to add it to your cart. Be prepared to enter t-shirt sizes for your party. There is a separate free ticket for individuals with Down syndrome you'll be able to add to your cart before checking out.

  • Registration is $25 per person and includes a t-shirt
  • Registration is FREE for individuals with Down syndrome and includes a free t-shirt

Each group ticket comes with an optional fundraising page your family can use to collect donations for your Buddy Walk team. If more than one member of your party would like a fundraising page, then please purchase a singular ticket for those individuals.

2. Customize Your Fundraising Page

After you register, you'll receive a confirmation email for your order. If you chose to fundraise, you'll receive a second email with a link to your fundraising page and team page. We encourage you to customize your family's page with a unique message and photos to share your story.

3. Spread the Word

We hope you invite your friends and family to sign up and join us on event day! The more, the merrier. Another way they can support you is by donating to your family's fundraising page. Share your page with them to collect donations and see how much your Buddy Walk team can raise!
