The NCDSA operates without government funding or financial assistance from national Down syndrome organizations. Instead, we depend on the kindness of our community and events like the NCDSA Buddy Walk to sustain our efforts. These contributions enable us to fulfill the diverse needs of the North Carolina Down syndrome community and enhance our advocacy, programming, and educational support initiatives.

• Distributed 160 Welcome Baby Bags across 90 counties, providing essential resources and support to new families.

• Hosted over 200 participants at our highly acclaimed statewide conference, fostering knowledge exchange and collaboration within our community.

• Expanded our T-21 Club (teens and adults 16+) and Sibshops doubling both participants and programming to ensure inclusivity and empowerment.

• Experienced a remarkable increase of double the attendees at our annual Moms Retreat, offering rejuvenation and connection to T21 moms.

• Conducted a monthly virtual webinar series featuring nationally recognized speakers. Covering diverse topics from IEP preparation to Financial Planning, these sessions catered to individuals of all ages and stages, enriching their lives with valuable insights and expertise.
