FAQs

Is there a Veterans discount? Yes! All Veterans and current service members receive $5 off registration. Use code "VETERAN" at check-out. (Not eligible during early bird registration)

Where do I park? Parking is FREE - Parking is available at 2005 Market Street, Commerce Square in Philadelphia. See below image for further instructions or visit our Parking Page for more options!

Where do I enter the Armory? You'll see a large entrance on 23rd Street! Look for the Team Foster flags!

Can I check-in for another rider? Sure, this makes you responsible for providing all swag items and participant wrist band to them. Everyone must have a wrist band to ride a bike.

Do I have to ride all 24 hours? This is a TEAM challenge. Each team member can ride for as long/short as you decide. Ride for 5 minutes or 5 hours, the choice is yours!

Do I have to stay all 24 hours? No. But you might want to :) Once you feel the vibe, you’re not going to want to leave. Come prepared. Coolers. Sleeping gear. Change of clothes.

Do I need spin shoes? No. The pedals have toe cages and SPD-style clips, so sneakers or cycling shoes with SPD clips will work.

Is Ruff Ride kid friendly? Absolutely. We will have a number of kid-friendly activities on-site. The music and activities will remain radio friendly until 7:30 pm. 8:00 pm-6:00 am are adult-hours and music and our speakers may be explicit. Kids may ride on your team, but ALL riders must register, sign a waiver, fundraise, and be supervised by an adult.

I am unable to attend the event. Can my items be mailed to me? Unfortunately, we do not mail event items post-event. Thank you for understanding. If someone from your team is present, they may pick up the items for you.

Can I transfer or switch my registration to another person? No. Registration(s) are non-transferable.

I can’t ride this year, but I want to be involved, how can I help? Volunteer! We are always looking for helpful volunteers at all our events. Get registered as a volunteer here!

What time does check-in open? The event will be open for you to arrive beginning at 9:00 am on May 31, 2025. Registration remains open for the entire 24 hours and walk ins are welcome.

Are there bathrooms? Yes, there will be indoor facilities available.

Is there a fundraising requirement? Each team has a minimum fundraising goal of $3,000. Team Captains will be given the opportunity to distribute donations amongst their team members as needed. Each rider is responsible for raising at least $125.

How do I become a VIP? Teams who raise at least $5,000 and individuals who raise at least $500 will get VIP access and earns extra perks!

What should I wear? We encourage all participants to wear comfortable, active clothing and shoes. Padded cycling shorts are encouraged. You can wear sneakers. You do not need cycling shoes, but cycling shoes with SPD clips are permitted. A small towel is also recommended. This is both an indoor and outdoor event and temps may be much cooler at night and or very warm during the day. Packing a change of clothes is never a bad idea!

What if the weather is no good? We are inside :) And this a rain or shine event!

Can I bring food and drinks? Yes. You are permitted to bring in a cooler packed with all the food and beverages essentials to keep you and your teamed fueled for 24 hours! No glass is allowed. There will also be food trucks scheduled throughout the 24 hours.

Can I grill? Grills, or open flames will not be permitted inside or around the event venue.

Can I bring a dog friend? Dogs are not permitted by the venue, but there will be a number of service dogs and service-dogs-in-training at the event.

Is this donation tax deductible? Team Foster is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization and your donation is tax-deductible within the guidelines of U.S. law. EIN: 47-3192875, incorporated as Captain Erick Foster Memorial Ride.
