Get up-close views of waterbirds, sea otters, and other lagoon life while paddling through Elkhorn Slough, a 7-mile-long estuary and tidal slough located in Monterey Bay.

The slough provides habitat for more than 550 species of invertebrates, 100 species of fish, and 135 species of birds, including six species listed as threatened or endangered. Located on the Pacific Flyway, the reserve and the surrounding area are renowned for outstanding birding opportunities.

Kayak Connection will furnish you with one of the finest closed-decked kayaks available in Elkhorn Slough.  Their double kayaks are equipped with rudders to help for easier maneuvering in windy conditions. They are extremely stable, with plenty of room to store snacks, water ,and extra equipment you may want as you paddle.
