Here's a chance for you and four of your friends to have a private bird tour at a Bay Area park.  Set your own pace on bike or on foot, and have the experience tailored to your birding level and needs. 
 
Derek would gladly take you to one of his favorite local birding spots: Coyote Hills Regional Park, MLK Shoreline, Hayward Regional Shoreline, Mitchell Canyon or Bethel Island. If you’re interested in Derek’s birding by bike expertise, Clifton Court is another good option.  Bottom line, if you have somewhere specific you want to go, Derek will most likely be up for it!

Derek reignited a childhood interest in birds by going on a GGBA outing to Grizzly Island in 1989 and as the years have progressed his birding enthusiasm has only increased. He is one of the top eBird contributors in Alameda and Contra Costa counties, teaches classes,  serves as Treasurer of the GGBA board of directors, and is currently in the midst of a Big Year by bike. And he's fun!
