HONOR THEIR SACRIFICE WITH A FOH HONOR BAG
Founded in 2007, the Folds of Honor mission is to provide educational scholarships to the spouses and children of America’s fallen or disabled service members and first responders. Since inception, nearly 52,000 scholarships have been awarded, and we are proud to share that Folds of Honor recipients currently attend our school.
We began our involvement with the Folds of Honor program in 2023 to compliment the legacy Dr. Gerald W. Mixon. After his passing in 2022, we searched for a way to honor his military service, ministry, and generosity and the FOH honor bag program was the perfect fit. Dr. Mixon served in the United States Army as a Chaplain’s Assistant from 1960-1963. He renewed his military service as a member of the Mississippi Guard ranked Chaplain (Lt. Colonel) from 2011-2019. Dr. Mixon and his wife, Victoria Mixon, have two endowed scholarships at William Carey University (Alum ‘66) awarded to a member of the golf team and a ministry student. For us to be able to contribute to the FOH Scholarship program benefiting students at WCU is an honor and a continuation of his legacy as a member of the military, Baptist minister, and renowned philanthropist.
We hope you will join us as we honor our fallen/injured military and first responders by providing education opportunities for their families. Thank you for your consideration.
