Everyone attending the DSA NEO 2025 Buddy Walk® must be registered. You can sign up yourself AND your team members at the same time. Everyone you register will appear on your team page, even if they choose to not fundraise.
Buddy Walk 2025 will be here before we know it.
TEAM CAPTAINS: You can decide if you want to sign up all your team members when you register or if you'd like to invite them to your team page after you create it. Create your team by following the instructions below.
TEAM MEMBERS: Your team captain may register for you or send you an email invite to sign up. If they tell you to go ahead and join a team they've made, follow the instructions below.
INDIVIDUALS: Solo participants are welcome! You don't need a team to join us. Register yourself using the instructions below, start fundraising, and we'll see you there!
Registration Instructions
Visit the home page and click Register. You will be prompted to enter your email and name to create a Pledge It account.
Select 'Buddy Walk Participant Registration ', indicate if you'd like to create a fundraising page, and respond to the questions
After adding your first registration to your cart, you'll be asked you'd like to join or create a fundraising team. Either select your team from the list or create your team.
Next, you'll see your completed registration in your cart. If you have more participants you'd like to add to your team, select "Add participant" and enter their information. If they do not have an email address, simply skip creating a fundraising page for them as it won't be required. They will still appear on your team!
Once you've added all the team members you'd like to register, you'll be able to review your cart and can choose to make an optional donation that will be credited to your team's fundraising page. Click Continue. If you donated, you'll pay on the next page, otherwise you'll just click Submit.
You're all done! You'll receive an email that shows you all the people you registered. Anyone who you signed up to fundraise will get an email with a link to their fundraising page. All the participants you registered will immediately appear on your team page.
Share Your Fundraising Page
Help us raise important funds that will go back into our community and support Down Syndrome Indiana's mission.
Invite donors with a personal message! Click the "Share" button on your fundraising page and select "Share via Email or text" to send personal invitations to donors. Fundraisers that use this donor invite tool raise more money! Watch a short video about how it works.
Share your team's fundraising page on social media! Even if you didn't create your own personal fundraising page, you can still share the team page to help collect donations for your team. Share a personal message on your social media accounts and be sure to link your team's unique URL!
Remember, proceeds go directly back to our organization's mission to provide support to people with Down syndrome. For every step you take and every dollar you raise, you are helping to create a culture that fully includes the more than 400,000 Americans with Down syndrome. Together we can make a difference!
How do I edit my team page?
You'll be able to set a profile photo, cover photo, and team story when you create your team page, but you can return and edit it at anytime. While logged in, visit your team page and click the "Edit Page" button below your cover photo. If you're on a mobile device, it will appear as a pencil icon at the top right of your screen.
Note: You must be signed in as the team captain to edit your page.
Post Updates
Are you excited to join us? We sure hope so! Get your donors excited too by sharing more about why our Buddy Walk matters to you. We recommend that you post updates on your page and share your story!
While logged into your page, click Updates on the top menu bar. You'll be able to add a short message, a photo, video, or link a social media post to share on your page.
You can choose to share your update with everyone that has donated to you so far, or to simply post it on your page.
Stay in touch with your team!
Visit your Team Dashboard while logged in to see what your other team members are up to. Post encouragement and fundraising tips on the shared message board and keep everyone motivated for the walk!
Team captains, if you need to invite more members to your team, you can send out invites from the Team Dashboard. You can also see if there are any donors who supported the team that still need to be thanked, and fire off a quick thank you.
