Building a Brighter Future for Our Children

Support the Temple Children’s Museum's Journey to a Permanent Home

In 2016, a group of moms in Temple, Texas had a powerful vision: a local space where children could learn, play, and grow through hands-on, educational experiences. That dream sparked the beginning of the Temple Children’s Museum. With the support of the Cultural Activities Center, the Temple Children's Museum was established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and in 2017, launched as a museum without walls, bringing pop-up exhibits to communities across Bell County.

From the beginning, community support fueled our mission. Our first fundraiser, “100 Women,” helped us get started—and ever since, our journey has been built by people who believe in the power of play and learning.

In 2018, we took a big step forward by signing the lease on our first physical space. And even when the pandemic delayed our opening in 2020, we adapted by providing educational packets for families to continue learning at home.

By 2021, the doors of the Temple Children’s Museum opened to the public. We hired our first staff members, launched programs, and began to grow. In 2022, we welcomed our first Executive Director, and in 2023, expanded our hours, exhibits, programming, and team.

Now, we’re dreaming even bigger.

The next chapter of our story is a permanent facility in the heart of Downtown Temple—a space designed to serve more families, host larger exhibits, and provide year-round learning experiences for children of all ages.

We’ve come this far with the strength of our community. With your support, we can build a lasting home where curiosity is sparked, families connect, and learning comes to life every day.

Join us in shaping the future.

Your donation today helps us take the next step toward a permanent home—and ensures that generations of children will have a place to discover, imagine, and explore.
